On the first day of the ‘Kadokawa Light Novel Expo 2020’ event, it is announced that Hataraku Maou-sama! (The Devil is a Part-Timer!) anime will be getting it’s long awaited second season. The anime is the adaptation of Satoshi Wagahara‘s light novel series Hataraku Maou-sama! and the second season will be having returning cast members.

The cast for the second season will be having returning members, which include:
- Ohsaka Ryota as Demon King Satan / Sadao Maō
- Hikasa Yōko as Heroine Emilia / Emi Yusa
- Tōyama Nao as Chiho Sasaki
- Ono Yūki as Demon General Alciel / Shirō Ashiya
- Shimono Hiro as Demon General Lucifer / Hanzō Urushihara
- Itō Kanae as Suzuno Kamazuki

Studio White Fox has produced the first season of the anime which had 13 episodes in total. The Devil is a Part-Timer! anime first aired in 2013, and is now making it’s comeback after 8 long years. Both the light novel series and it’s manga adaptation in English is licensed by Yen Press in August 2014. A high school spin-off manga was also published by them. Also, Kadokawa’s ComicWalker website had earlier launched a gourmet themed spin-off volume titled Hataraku Maou-sama no Meshi! and Oji Sadō will be drawing the manga.
